Many Aston Villa fans have comically reacted to an image of Dean Smith and John Terry laughing together over something on the former’s mobile phone.
Football’s standstill due to the recent pandemic has been a welcome distraction for Villa fans, who have concerns their side will drop down to the Championship, just one-year after gaining promotion via the play-offs.
Sitting 19th in the Premier League table, Villa boss Smith has a huge task ahead of him if and when the football season returns.
Engaging with each other via social media, fans of the 1982 European Cup winners have responded to a question posed by Twitter account @AVFC_news, who shared an image of Smith and assistant manager Terry discussing something.
Terry, who retired from his playing career at Villa, has been learning under the guidance of Smith and played an instrumental role in their promotion last season.
