Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a report claiming that sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch is fighting for his job at the club.
The Midlands outfit sit 19th in the Premier League table and will have to fight for their top-flight status over the next month.
Gaining promotion from the Championship last season via the play-off final, the Claret and Blue side made moves to bring in a number of players last summer, including the likes of Trezeguet, Jota, and Brazilian striker Wesley.

Inconsistency has played a massive part in the club’s current league standing and sporting director Pitarch is now reportedly fighting for his job.
Responsible for recruitment and a number of other club aspects, the Spaniard could be on his way out after less than two years in the role following some poor signings. Indeed, the Villans have spent over £140m this season, but as mentioned they remain in danger of relegation.
The report follows up on a fairly similar claim earlier this year by Football Insider, who said owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens were unsure whether or not to continue with the 56-year-old.
