Aston Villa are interested in signing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos in the next transfer window, that is according to a report from goal.com.
The West Midlands outfit were persistently linked with the 23-year-old in the January window (BirminghamLive), however a move never happened and in the end the Villans signed Mbwana Samatta instead.
But it seems that the Villa Park outfit could go back in for him in a few months time, with the report suggesting that the Gers are ready to sell the Colombian international for around £35 million. However, Dean Smith could face competition for his signature with the likes of Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan also thought to be keen on the front man.
Morelos has been in outstanding form this season and has scored 29 goals in all competitions, whilst also providing 10 assists too (Transfermarkt). Six of those strikes have come in the Europa League against the likes of BSC Young Boys, FC Porto and Feyenoord, showing that he is capable of bagging at a strong level.
After seeing that they were linked with the goal scorer, a lot of Villa fans were divided on whether or not they would like him to sign for the club. One supporter suggested that he would be an improvement on Keinan Davis, whilst others weren’t so keen and pointed to his attitude as a reason not to bring him in – indeed he has picked up a whopping seven red cards at Rangers (Transfermarkt).
Here is what some had to say…

No,no,no and another no. Terrible attitude to have in the camp. Too many red card, he’ll cost us so many games.

Why? We just signed Samatta. Wesley coming back soon. Why not by a good defender instead?

If we can curb his attitude yes. He’s a big improvement on Davis.

He’s better than what we already have so if he was the only choice then Yes 100% #utv

Yes. Play two up front, nice to have a bit of competition in that department – for a change.
