Many Aston Villa fans are not happy, as Football Insider has reported that the club are looking to secure a loan deal for Wolves defender Dion Sanderson in the summer.
The 20-year-old has played 71 times, per Transfermarkt, for Wolves’ U23 and U18 sides but recently secured a loan move to Championship side Cardiff City in January, where he has made three appearances. Villa will face competition from the Welsh side, who have enjoyed what they have seen from the defender and would like to take him on loan for the whole of next season.
The rumour has not gone down well with Villa fans, with many seeing this as the club preparing for relegation. The club have a good chance of staying in the top flight as they have a game in hand and even though they currently sit in 19th, per BBC Sport, they are only two points away from 16th.
Already looking towards the next transfer window is a good idea, but it is always a hard thing for a side to do when they are uncertain of what league they are going to be in next season, and it looks like Villa are preparing for every scenario.
