Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a transfer report from Devon LIVE linking Exeter City youngster Benjamin Chrisene with a move to the Villans.
Villa boss Dean Smith will be keen to add extra depth to his squad this summer as he prepares for a second successive season in the Premier League after beating the threat of relegation with a final day draw against West Ham United.
Whilst first team matters will be at the forefront of Smith’s mind, improvements over the last few months at academy level have seen a number of talented players arrive at Villa Park, including former West Bromwich Albion and Barcelona attacker Louie Barry.
Another potential youngster to arrive at the Midlands club has now emerged with a report linking 16-year-old midfielder Chrisene.
The talented England under-16 international has already made a total of five first team appearances for Exeter City, all as a substitute, becoming the club’s youngest ever player, beating a record set by Ethan Ampadu.
Reacting to the transfer report which was shared by @villareport, fans gave a response on Twitter with the majority delighted to be linked with a youngster with high potential. One even suggested it was “exciting times”:

Chrisene is in a very elite group of those who made a first team debut (both cup and league) at age 16.
