Former Aston Villa player Axel Tuanzebe has several supporters from his ex-club currently talking.
The Manchester United defender, who spent last season on loan at Villa Park, has expressed his frustrations over a lack of game time this term, prompting a response from the Villa faithful.
“Yeah, this season has been a bit frustrating,” Tuanzebe told Manchester United’s official club website. “There have been many opportunities that I could have exploited but it wasn’t to be.
“Last season I played a lot of games on loan at Villa and I wanted to replicate that this season. There are still three competitions left that we can go for.”
In response to those comments, one Villa supporter told the 22-year-old to “come home”. Another, meanwhile, said “shame for the lad” given how well he performed in the last campaign when given the opportunity.

And he is not wrong, with Tuanzebe constantly managing to get rid of danger by making just under four clearances per game during his time as a Villa player, the fourth-best average in Dean Smith’s squad in 2018/19 (via WhoScored).
Take a look at what else is being said below…
Shame for the lad as started to really show how good he could be last season … probably advised wrong as he was never likely to get in Man U team they wouldn’t take a chance on him even if they do make out they want to promote the youth …

Come home, Axel.

Shame for him. Thought he was solid last season, and had a brilliant partnership with Mings too. Maybe a Villa Park return next season?

Axel needs to come back to B6 in the summer. We know how good he is.

Sign him up.

Well who in their right mind would want to go to Man Utd anyway. Axel should move on and come back to Villa where he can play football every week and where he is loved.
