Many Villa fans have responded to a tweet from Tyrone Mings after his side’s 2-0 win over Newcastle last night.
The Villans were able to make sure that Steve Bruce’s return was a miserable one as Anwar El Ghazi and Conor Hourihane were able to ensure all three points.
The win has now leapfrogged the Birmingham-based side into 15th in the league, four points clear of Norwich City who are in 18th.
At the back, it was a welcomed clean sheet for Dean Smith’s side – their third of the season.
After the match, England defender Tyrone Mings tweeted about the game, saying it was a “great atmosphere” at Villa Park.
WhoScored rated Mings’ performance, giving the player a 7.2/10 for his 90 minutes.
Lots of fans responded to the centre-half’s message, with one even calling him the English Virgil van Dijk. Others were slightly more critical, saying that there is still room for improvement.
