A recent post on social media has got supporters of Aston Villa thinking about some of the best players to have represented the club since 2010.
Villa fan account @AVFCchats asked its 4,500+ followers to name the player they feel has been the top performer for the West Midlands outfit in the last decade.
The ‘teenies’ hasn’t exactly been a vintage decade for Aston Villa, who suffered relegation from the Premier League and played three successive seasons in the second tier (Transfermarkt).
However, that doesn’t mean that there haven’t been some excellent players who have represented them in recent years.
Indeed, several Villa fans have come up with a few different names for who their top performer since 2010 has been and the three that seem to crop up the most are Jack Grealish, Christian Benteke and Alan Hutton.
The trio all have excellent reputations at Villa Park, and it seems that the fans rate them as their best players of the last decade.

Alan Hutton for his pride, passion, hard work and dignity. In a decade where I had to sit through the likes of Lescott, McCormack, relegation and a plethora of mediocre players and ridiculous managers I could always count on Hutton trying his hardest.
