Several Aston Villa fans on Twitter believe that Jack Grealish is the best attacking midfielder that the club have had this decade.
Supporters have been voting for the club’s best-11 since 2010 via Birmingham Mail journalist Mat Kendrick, who is putting the team together on his official Twitter account.
He asked fans to name the player they feel has been the best attacking-minded midfielder at the club between January 2010 to present, and the vast majority went with the current Villa skipper.
In fairness, Grealish has been immense in the last couple of years and has helped the West Midlands side get back into the Premier League.
Indeed, he was a key player in their promotion from the Championship last season and played 34 times (including the play-offs), scoring six goals and providing eight assists (Transfermarkt).
He has now made the step up to the top flight with ease, and in 10 appearances, he has already scored two goals and registered three assists (Transfermarkt).
James Milner received a few votes, but most of the supporters who responded to Kendrick’s tweet said that Grealish was the best attacking midfielder they have had in recent years…
