Serhou Guirassy is failing to win over a section of Aston Villa’s support amid rumours that he could join the club.
According to the Daily Mail, the Amiens forward is attracting interest from the Villans, as well as a host of other Premier League sides. Dean Smith is, of course, in the market to improve his attack following the long-term injury to Wesley. However, going off Twitter, Guirassy does not seem to be the answer for some fans.
The 23-year-old has managed to score four goals in Ligue 1 this season, which is one less than Wesley’s Premier League tally, explaining their concerns. He has, however, played less games than the Brazilian (16 to 21). But registering 1.9 shots per game to Wesley’s 1.7, he is getting strikes away more often (via WhoScored). Furthermore, perhaps his goal record in the French league should be up one or two.
