Aston Villa’s 6-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City will have been painful for fans to watch considering they failed to even put up a fight. 4-0 down at half-time, many fans started to leave, and the nightmare won’t stop there for Dean Smith as they sit in the relegation zone, just below Watford who have won three on the bounce.
Having lost four of the last 6 games and saw key players such as Tom Heaton and Wesley ruled out for the rest of the campaign, so things are certainly looking bleak at the moment. Throw in the fact that John McGinn is also out for the foreseeable future, it’s of little surprise that sections of the support are seemingly fed up.
Dean Smith spoke to the club at the end of the game and described the loss as a ‘difficult afternoon’. He can say that again. Many fans heard what he had to say and weren’t satisfied, with some even calling for the club to sack him before the situation gets any worse.

You need to go Dean, you spent £120 million+ on buying donkeys who dont tackle or fight for the club. You should repay the fans that went and watched that dross. You got us up, but its clear you can’t keep us in the Prem, bad buys, bad tactics, bad manager
