Aston Villa fans will be desperate to hold onto Jack Grealish for as long as possible, considering how he’s managed to remain their star man after they took the step up to the Premier League. Pep Guardiola came out and praised the 24-year-old too, but it hasn’t been too well-received by Villa fans.
According to BBC 5 Live, the Manchester City manager said that “Aston Villa have one of the best players in the league in Jack Grealish, I’m a big fan of him”, and Pep could well be right. He’s scored seven goals and made five assists in the league so far this season, while being rated the club’s top player on WhoScored, picking up a rating of 7.37/10.
Many Villa fans were quick to react to the quotes when Villa news aggregator Villa Report posted them on their Twitter account. Many fans disagreed sarcastically to try and warn off Guardiola, while others told him to keep their hands off him.

Your wrong Pep, it’s all hype. He’s a bang average player. Stick with Boden.

Overrated Pep, nothing on your lad Foden.

Villa fans, how much would you accept to sell Jack Grealish to Man City?
