Many Aston Villa fans have debated the tag of ‘England’s best midfielder’ put on the shoulders of club captain Jack Grealish by a Chelsea fan on Twitter.
Whilst Dean Smith’s side face the threat of relegation after some inconsistent form and poor performances in the Premier League this term, Grealish continues to impress, having enhanced his reputation in England’s top flight.
Netting seven goals and providing six assists during the current campaign, Villa’s club captain has gained the interest of a number of clubs, including Manchester United and Everton.

With Grealish performing well on a consistent basis at club level, England national team manager Gareth Southgate has also been keeping tabs on the former Bodymoor Heath academy youngster.
Looking into his ability, which helped Villa reach the League Cup final this season, fans have heaped heavy praise on Grealish with one Chelsea fan even calling him ‘England’s best midfielder’.
Reacting to the tweet, Villa fans gave their opinion on Grealish’s ability and it seems most are in agreement with one labelling him a “class act“:
