The attacking midfielder has had a great campaign so far in the Premier League to help Villa sit eighth in the division after 23 games. The Englishman has scored six goals and picked up ten assists in the Premier League (WhoScored). He has also managed, on average, 2.1 shots, 3.4 key passes and 2.8 successful dribbles a game.

He has not just shone for Villa this season but also England, with manager Gareth Southgate in awe of the Villa skipper, hailing his performance against Belgium as ‘outstanding‘.

He is a crucial member of Dean Smith’s side and is a key component as Villa look to push on and finish in the top half of the Premier League, so understandably many fans are very worried about the injury.

His goal-contributions show that he has been involved in nearly half of Villa’s goals in the division this campaign as Dean Smith’s side have managed 37 in total. (SofaScore).  Therefore, to hear he could be out for a month is very worrying for the club and it is no surprise to see fans panicking.
