Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham could be in line for an Aston Villa return this summer.

According to The Athletic, he has been 'discussed as a possible target' at Villa Park. It's said to be 'very likely' that the 23-year-old will push to leave Stamford Bridge as he pursues 'regular first-team football', having fallen out of favour under Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea's £40m price tag could be prohibitive, but Villa will hope that Abraham's determination to leave west London brings it down.

Abraham's name rings round Villa Park

Abraham did not feature in the matchday squad as Chelsea faced Villa on Sunday. The Blues lost 2-1 but were still able to secure qualification for next season's Champions League.

In the second half of the game, many Villa supporters could be heard chanting Abraham's name. In a loan spell at the club two seasons ago, he fired 25 goals to propel the Midlands outfit back into the Premier League.

The 23-year-old posted the footage of the Villa fans singing his name to Twitter, telling fans that he 'appreciated' their gratitude and wishing them 'all the best for the future'.

Here's the pick of the reactions, with numerous Villa fans calling for the "king" to be re-signed by Dean Smith's side.
