Aston Villa: Fans fume at Tyrone Mings

Many Aston Villa fans are furious with Tyrone Mings as he got sent off in the first half of the win against Crystal Palace.
The defender got an unnecessary yellow card for a scrap with Wilfried Zaha (SofaScore). Six minutes later, he received his marching orders as he fouled Zaha to stop a counter attack.
The Villa fan base are not annoyed with the referee, but rather with their own player, who is meant to be the experienced leader in the side, not a loose cannon. One fan called him a ‘liability’.
Villa were 1-0 up (SofaScore) when Mings was shown red and the Villains looked comfortable, so while it didn’t come back to haunt Dean Smith’s side, it was certainly foolish.
It is a bigger issue around the Christmas period too, as games come thick and fast and Villa will now not have Mings in two days when they face Chelsea on Monday night.
Here is what Villa fans said about Mings:
“Can’t wait for Konsa to get back to full fitness. Mings is an absolutely liability. Probably should have had a straight red for the first one. Livid. #avfc”

“Don’t agree with the first yellow at all, but that was daft from Mings when on a booking. Can’t believe Zaha got him rattled”
