Aston Villa: Jack Grealish’s England absence has fans talking - Aston Villa News

Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to Jack Grealish’s absence from Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the games against Iceland and Denmark.

Villa club captain Grealish was in remarkable form last season, netting an impressive eight goals in 36 Premier League games.

The Birmingham-born attacking midfielder proved key to Villa’s survival from relegation, scoring a vital goal in the 1-1 draw with West Ham United on the final day of the season which ultimately ensured the Midlanders’ safety.

Such good form has seen Grealish tipped to go on and become an England regular, but he has not been included in the games to face Iceland and Denmark in the Nations League.

Southgate’s midfield options for the double header sees Eric Dier, Mason Mount, James Ward-Prowse, Harry Winks and Declan Rice included.

Reacting to Grealish’s absence from that list, these Villa fans responded via Twitter account Aston Villa News
