Emiliano Buendia and Emiliano Martinez could both feature for Aston Villa against Everton on Saturday, according to Matt Maher.

The pair won’t be back in the country until a few hours before kick-off, which has had a number of Villa fans talking on social media.

Buendia and Martinez both went away with Argentina during the recent international break and have had to spend more than a week in Croatia to avoid hotel quarantine in the UK.

The pair have been training during that time, according to Maher, and are both in Dean Smith’s selection thoughts ahead of Saturday evening’s clash at Villa Park.

Maher believes that the goalkeeper is likely to come in for Jed Steer from the off, whereas the 24-year-old could also feature in what could be a busy Saturday for the duo.
