Aston Villa: Fans react to Dwight McNeil update

Aston Villa: Fans react to Dwight McNeil update -Aston Villa

Aston Villa and Everton are just two of the sides queuing up to sign Burnley winger Dwight McNeil.

That’s according to The Sun, with a number of Villa fans urging the club to stay away from the 22-year-old on social media.

Steven Gerrard has been promised a huge transfer kitty this month by NSWE, and McNeil is a player who was actually linked with a switch to Villa Park back in May.

Do you want Villa to sign McNeil?

Yes, just what we need!

No, we can do better!

Villa eventually signed Emiliano Buendia and Leon Bailey, however, it seems as if McNeil is still of interest to Johan Lange and now the new manager.

The Sun claim that Villa, Crystal Palace and Everton are all monitoring the wide man, with Burnley willing to do business at £40m – a fee which would make him Villa’s most expensive signing of all time at that price.

Villa fans! Do you remember which club James Milner left AVFC for?

Villa fans react

McNeil has registered just one assist in 17 Premier League games this season, and a number of Villa supporters don’t want to see the left-winger brought in when responding to The AVFC Faithful’s post.

“Was strongly against this and am for 40m. But if we can get cut price I guess he may help the balance of our attack. Buendia the only real nailed on name for our attack at this point”
