Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have been linked with a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
And, as to be expected, a number of Villa fans have been reacting to the links on social media.
According to Spanish outlet La Razon, Atletico find themselves 'on the brink of the salary limit' after bringing Antoine Griezmann back to the club from Barcelona.
They could be forced to offload one of their star players as a result, potentially ‘keeper Jan Oblak. Should they do just that, the report claims that Atletico have picked out Martinez as a possible replacement, with Oblak’s sale potentially covering the costs of a deal for the Villa man.
Martinez, 29, only made the move to the Midlands 12 months ago and is under contract at Villa Park until 2024.
