Aston Villa owners Nasser Sawiris and Wes Edens are looking to start up a new franchise in Major League Soccer.

And a number of Villa fans have been reacting to the owners’ plans on social media.

NSWE have pumped in some serious money at Villa Park following the club’s return to the Premier League, with Villa spending in excess of £300m over the past three seasons.

It now seems as if Sawiris and Edens are turning their attention to the MLS, looking to create a 30th franchise in the States. They are thought to be close to forming Las Vegas Villains in a move that will reportedly have huge benefits for Villa.

An announcement could be made as early as next year, with the new side possibly joining the MLS in 2024.
