Writing on Twitter, Aston Villa defender Matty Cash dropped a three-word message for teammate Matt Targett after the pair impressed during a 3-0 Boxing Day win over Crystal Palace – with the summer signing simply stating ‘my left back’ as fans buzzed over the defender.
Cash, who impressed along with his teammates as Dean Smith’s side put Palace to the sword, dropped the message on Twitter as both the right-sided and left-sided full-backs managed to turn heads.
Earning the praise of Villans on Twitter following both his and Targett’s displays, supporters even lauded Cash as the ‘transfer of the season’ after he signed from Nottingham Forest in the summer for £16 million on a five-year deal.
