Aston Villa journalist Luke Hatfield believes that striker Keinan Davis needs to leave the club on loan this summer.
The striker has struggled to hit the back of the net regularly since his arrival back in 2017.
Davis has made a total of 85 appearances for the club but he has scored just six goals, while registering seven assists.
Do you think Keinan Davis is good enough for Villa?
Last season, he scored just once in 15 Premier League games, and he has never scored more than twice in a single season, with that return coming in the Championship in 2017/18.
As a result, Hatfield believes that he should join a separate club on a loan deal in order to start hitting the back of the net regularly, although the club may have to wait until January to let him go after he sustained an injury blow that could see him ruled out for the foreseeable future.
Davis had been heavily linked with a potential move to Stoke City prior to his injury.
Asked about whether him leaving on loan would be a good idea, he said: “Yeah, I think so. I think it kind of works out for everyone involved if Davis does depart on loan.”
