Aston Villa managed to lift themselves three points clear of the relegation zone with a win at home to Newcastle United last night.
Indeed, goals from Conor Hourihane and Anwar El-Ghazi ensured it was a miserable return to Villa Park for former manager Steve Bruce but, while the win over a rival has eased the club’s position in the league a bit, it doesn’t seem as if everyone wholly convinced during the outing.
In light of Joelinton’s struggles for the visitors, Villa man Wesley Moraes did little to impress these fans on social media at the other end.
As per WhoScored, the former Club Brugge man took five unsuccessful touches last night, was dispossessed once and registered only the one shot, during which he should have scored in the second half.
The club’s record signing at £22.5m, the Brazilian has scored four goals in the Premier League so far, though three of them came in one game against strugglers Norwich City earlier in the campaign.
With that in mind, here’s a closer look at some of the reaction.
