Aston Villa are one of a number of Premier League clubs to have been ‘offered’ Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.

The Villans, seeking to back manager Unai Emery before the deadline on January 31, have been linked with a move for McKennie.
Reports have suggested that Villa hold an interest in the USA international, coming after his stellar performances for his country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
McKennie impressed against England in the group stages and his stock may have risen amid Juve’s attempts to sell the 24-year-old.

According to 90min, it appears Emery and co have now been handed a chance to sign the midfielder.
Their sources claim McKennie has been ‘offered’ out to numerous clubs in England, including Villa, and it is believed they have ‘responded positively’.
Arsenal, Leeds and Newcastle are the other sides to have been handed a chance, all of which are also interested in signing him on loan with a buy-option.
Meanwhile, Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool appear out of the running.
The Verdict: Get it done?
McKennie’s performances at the World Cup are an indication of his real quality, but showings in the Middle East aren’t the only piece of evidence that Villa should push to get it done.
The former Schalke star has also been praised by both football talent scouts and footballing legends with Andrea Pirlo calling him a ‘rock’ whilst in charge at Juve.
Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, meanwhile, has branded the player ‘incredibly underrated’ with McKennie’s versatility also coming as an attractive incentive.
He can play anywhere across the midfield and even as a central defender – an aspect of his game which Emery would undoubtedly like.
McKennie has also been linked with a move to England since 2021, perhaps highlighting that he is finally ready to make the big switch to Europe’s most competitive division.
Six days of the transfer window remain, so if Villa wish to take action on their interest, they must act quickly.
