‘At it again’, ‘A joke’ - Newcastle United fans react on Twitter to villain’s hilarious blunder

With the Newcastle United fans in the Transfer Tavern dreaming about Champions League nights under Rafa Benitez, they could only sit on and watch Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur batter European champions, Real Madrid.

Indeed, while it’s always nice to see English sides perform well in Europe, the punters clad in black and white here last night were in absolute hysterics watching Moussa Sissoko.

The former Toon man – who left St. James’ Park in acrimonious circumstances – was put through in the penalty box last night, before swiping at the effort and hitting only air. Considering both his exit and the fact he cost a whopping £30m, the Frenchman’s blunder went down a storm on Tyneside.

Though he has improved for Spurs this season, misses like that won’t endear him to the Tottenham faithful.
