Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have made their frustrations clear after hearing that they appear to be losing out in the chase for a long-term target.
TalkSport says Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have expressed interest in Lazio’s Lucas Biglia, which could scupper Louis Van Gaal’s January transfer plans.
Manchester United were heavily linked to the player in the summer with some suggesting a deal was agreed. However, the Lazio captain remainder in Italy and has since made four Serie A appearances this term.
It’s looking likely that the £23m-rated Biglia will leave Naples in the New Year though but Old Trafford doesn’t appear to be the likely destination, with the Argentine ace instead having his choice out of both Madrid sides.
United punters at the bar have now angrily declared that their side should pull out all the stops to sign the South American star, as they believe the 29-year-old midfielder would be the ideal addition to their squad.
