Baker and Cooper have already let Marcelo Bielsa down

Bielsa

Leeds United won’t settle for anything less than promotion to the Premier League in the current campaign, with Marcelo Bielsa setting high expectations.

The Whites have been one of the form teams in the Championship so far this season and will definitely be challenging at the top come the end of the season.

However, things haven’t been perfect for Leeds in the current campaign as a couple of players have looked sluggish at times and are yet to really impress the manager. Indeed, Marcelo Bielsa would have been hoping for better from some of his players, with competition for places hotting up.

With that in mind, these TWO Leeds United players have already let Bielsa down…

Liam Cooper

The central defender hasn’t really been at his best this season despite Marcelo Bielsa putting his trust in the 27-year-old ahead of Pontus Jansson.

However, he has been an easy target for the opposition at times due to his lack of pace and doesn’t always look comfortable in possession for the Whites, so his performances have definitely let the Leeds United boss down already in the current campaign.

Lewis Baker

Lewis Baker signed on loan from Premier League side Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but he hasn’t been able to nail down a regular place in the side.

Indeed, Marcelo Bielsa would have hoped that the central midfielder would be challenging the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Mateusz Klich for a place in the side, but his performances so far this season haven’t been good enough and won’t get him any closer to a breakthrough.
