Baker and Dallas must put in a huge performance against Blackburn Rovers today

Leeds

Leeds United haven’t been able to ensure consistency in recent times as they continue to drop points in games that they really should be winning.

The Whites could only secure a last-gasp draw against Brentford last time out at Elland Road in what was a disappointing showing in front of goal.

However, Leeds United will travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers in their next Championship encounter.

Indeed, this will be a key game for a couple of the club’s first team members, with a disappointing showing possibly causing for them to be axed and frozen out of the side.

With that in mind, here’s a look at TWO players that could face axing if they don’t put in a huge performance…

Lewis Baker

Lewis Baker joined on loan from Premier League side Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but his performances haven’t warranted a permanent place in the side this season.

Indeed, the central midfielder has found it impossible to break into what is already a settled midfield at Leeds United, with the likes of Mateusz Klich and Kalvin Phillips constantly putting in quality performances.

So, it’s vital that the Englishman makes the most of the limited amount of minutes he is likely to receive off the substitutes’ bench against Blackburn today, with another poor performance causing all sorts of problems.

Stuart Dallas

Stuart Dallas has impressed on international duty for Northern Ireland this season but his Championship career appears to be taking a step backwards, with limited opportunities being gifted to him at Leeds United.

However, Luke Ayling is suspended for today’s game against Blackburn Rovers, so the versatile 27-year-old has the perfect opportunity to impress. But, if he fails to have any kind of positive impact then he could find himself being frozen out of Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.
