The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to yesterday’s Arsenal legends vs Real Madrid’s legends match, as Robert Pires pulled on an Arsenal shirt again. The fans were all delighted to see a number of stars in their club’s colours again, despite the fact that the club fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Bernabeu.

Pires impressed in Arsenal colours yet again yesterday, laying on a goal for Luis Boa Morte as the Gunners equalised at the home of Los Blancos, before eventually falling to a 2-1 defeat after Madrid scoring through both Raul and Guti on the day. The side will have another chance at beating the Real Madrid stars when they meet again in September, with fans counting down the days until they can see Pires back in North London.
In response to the game, some fans have called for Pires to take up a coaching role under Unai Emery, as one of the Gunners favourite ever Frenchman gave the fans yet another moment to savour with his assist yesterday. The fans will all want to see more instalments of the Arsenal legends, with yesterday being a rip-roaring success for all involved.
