‘Better than Willian’ – Man Utd fans want Mourinho to land attacker with 19 goals this season

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a few major signings at Old Trafford this summer. After all, they lost in the FA Cup final on Saturday, leaving Jose Mourinho trophyless after a disappointing campaign at the helm.

It’s not too late to turn things around, of course, but clearly the 2017/18 campaign hasn’t gone quite to plan, and so it would be wise of the Red Devils to attempt to turn things around this season.

Fortunately, they could be looking to do just that, at least according to the Mirror.

The Mirror are reporting that several players are on Jose Mourinho’s wishlist, but one name that is sure to generate attention is Gareth Bale.

The Welshman has had a tough time in Madrid since moving from Tottenham, but with 19 goals this season, he’s been more efficient than most of Mourinho’s current crop of players this term.

Unsurprisingly, then, the Man Utd fans over on Twitter would love to see him move to the club. They’ve pointed towards his fantastic quality as a key factor for their feelings. Whilst, certainly, it’s not a unanimous verdict, many are delighted.

Some are even pointing towards reports from Sky Sports surrounding a potential Man Utd move for Willian, with fans suggesting that Bale would be a better choice.
