Big Celtic decision to be made as good news emerges for Bhoys fan

It’s a return to domestic action for the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern after a humbling at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

Indeed, the Bhoys in the bar hope the visit of Ross County tomorrow night can help Brendan Rodgers’ side get back to winning ways following their 5-0 loss at the hands of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani.

With that in mind, quotes from Rodgers’ pre-match press conference (sourced in the Daily Record) have proven rather promising today.

He’s revealed that key defender Dedryck Boyata could soon be set for a return to action after missing the last few months. Celtic have suffered a bit of a crisis in defensive areas over the last few months, with Erik Sviatchenko also suffering an ailment.

As a result, the likes of Nir Bitton and Mikael Lustig have had to be deployed in those berths, so having the Belgian back after a knee problem could be huge for the Hoops.

A decision will be made tomorrow as to whether the former Man City youngster can play against Ross County, though his return, in general, is a big boost for the Bhoys.

“We’ll assess over the next 24 hours whether he’s going to be available or not”, said Rodgers.

Landlord’s Verdict:

Boyata alone wouldn’t have stopped PSG running riot, though his return to fitness for the games against Bayern Munich (in no sort of form, really) and Anderlecht could be massive.

Improving as a defender, he’s also a palpable goal threat from set-pieces.
