Blackburn consider move for Barca Starlet Jeffren Suarez

jeffrenBlackburn are one of a number of clubs believed to be considering a loan move for Barcelona’s Venezuelan-born Spain Under 21 forward Jeffren Suarez according to The Mirror.

Barcelona are willing to loan out Jeffren as he is not currently in their first team plans with Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Pedro all ahead of him in the pecking order for the wing-forward roles and with Barca eager to sign another left winger in January Jeffren’s first team chances would be lessened. The club have decided to loan him out in a bid to give him regular football to show what he can do.

Jeffren, believed to be one of the best of Barca’s current youth crop alongside Pedro, Marc Muniesa and Thiago Alcantara, caught the eye of Arsenal whilst playing for Spain in the Euro Under 19’s Tournament in 2006 but Barca are unwilling to let him go on a permanent deal making a loan switch to a smaller club ideal.

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce would face fierce competition in his bid to sign Jeffren though as Wigan, Everton and Celtic are all said to be interested in securing the loan signing and will fight to the end to capture him.
