Whilst the international break often brings with it a lack of chat in the Tavern, that has definitely not been the case today.
As reports surrounding a bizarre incident involving Everton ace Enner Valencia began to filter in, the punters in the Tavern simply could not hold back their laughter.
Valencia allegedly owes child support money, and in an effort to avoid the police during an international fixture – he decided to fake an injury in order to escape the arena.
Now, of course, Valencia is in the wrong for not paying – as he should – but the lengths that he’s going to avoid paying up are just too much.
More details are filtering in about the deal as time progresses, but that isn’t going to change the perspective of anyone in the Tavern.
