The Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have had a very tough season so far. They’ve gone through two managers and have drifted down the table, leaving very little to celebrate at Goodison Park. Fortunately, things are on the up. Sam Allardyce’s arrival seems to have provided some much-needed respite, with a few decent results over the last few weeks really picking up the spirits of our resident Toffees.
There was more good news for the Everton faithful today, too, with a post on the official Everton Academy Twitter page providing the news that countless Toffees will have been waiting for. As per that post, Yannick Bolasie has returned to action for the Everton under-23s, signalling the latest step in his quest to return to first-team action.

Bolasie has, of course, been out of action all season long owing to a long-term injury, and Everton have really missed his pace, technique and skill on the ball. Though he’s still some way off returning, the winger is clearly edging closer to that end, and unsurprisingly, the fans over on Twitter are absolutely delighted with the news.
Responding to the Tweets from Everton with pure joy, it’s fair to say that they can’t wait for his eventual first-team return…
