It was an afternoon to forget for Manchester City at Wembley as they lost 2-1 in extra-time to Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final, much to the disappointment of the Citizens fans here in the Tavern this afternoon!
It was a must-win game for City if they were to have any hope of bringing any silverware back to Manchester this season but it wasn’t to be and an Alexis Sanchez strike in extra-time that settled a fairly even affair.
It’s not been the strongest first season for Pep Guardiola at the Etihad but he’ll be hopoing that another season of preparation will be enough to see his side challenge at the top of the Premier League once again next season.
But for now, City fans will have to get over the FA Cup defeat and it’s safe to say some of the punters lining the bar here in the pub weren’t too happy with the loss.
