Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern just want to find a quiet corner until May and once again forget about this season.

In recent weeks the Gunners have seen their season completely fall apart both domestically and in Europe.

They fell out of contention for the Premier League title after losing at Chelsea and now look as good as out of the Champions League after losing 5-1 against Bayern Munich.

Many, then, think dramatic change is needed to help sort out the club’s current fortunes and it appears that could be around the corner.

The latest one being touted is by Goal who are reporting that Lucas Perez will consider leaving the club if he thinks it is going to harm his chances of playing at the World Cup if he stays.

That could spark more departures in the summer according to our landlord, though, and he reckons these two could be on their way as well…

Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez is a world class footballer and is easily Arsenal’s best and most important player.

He, like every professional in the game, wants to win trophies, though, and he could be doing far more towards that aim if he was at another club. He cuts a frustrated figure out on the pitch with the club at the moment and it could just be that he moves on in the summer to chase his ambitions.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Oxlade-Chamberlain has the potential to still be a very good Premier League player but if he is to do that he should be realising he needs to leave Arsenal.

He’s seen himself behind Alex Iwobi in the pecking order at the club when it’s up for debate whether he actually should be and at another top club he could be a regular starter. He possesses good technical ability and with the right move he could really kick-start his career.
