Caixinha era begins with Rangers man ready to leave and replacement lined up

While many of the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern remain slightly unconvinced about new manager Pedro Caixinha, most of them in the bar are just happy the hunt for a new boss is now over and they can now focus on all things football.

Not a huge amount is known about the Portuguese as he attempts to restore former glories at Ibrox, though our punters are surprised to hear reports from the Scottish Sun. They claim the 46-year-old’s backroom staff overhaul is to begin in earnest, with goalkeeping Jim Stewart reportedly set to leave the club as their new era starts.

The 63-year-old joined the Gers over ten years ago with Walter Smith and the former Scotland stopper worked under the likes of Ally McCoist and Mark Warburton, though his time appears to be up. It’s believed Jose Belman is in line to replace Stewart in the staffroom shakeup as Caixinha plots how to catch Celtic atop the SPFL.

This has proved divisive in the Tavern, with some of our punters not too sure about all this change.
