With the Celtic fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern absolutely delighted about the nature of life under Brendan Rodgers this season, there’s not been an awful to get down about this term. 

The Hoops look wonderfully dominant in domestic competition and the only thing that can put an even bigger smile on the faces of the Bhoys in the bar would be seeing some youngsters emerge through the ranks. Having boasted such a proud history in developing their own talents, the Glasgow giants take the development of burgeoning talents very seriously.

Well, luckily for them, Rodgers does have a number of exciting prospects on his hands he can hopefully pepper the first-team with in a relatively pressure-free environment. So, while it’s easy to say those in Paradise should be excited about the likes of Moussa Dembele, Kieran Tierney and Liam Henderson, there are other options abound.

Considering all of this, here are TWO emerging young stars Celtic fans need to get excited about.

Jack Aitchison

Having already made a couple of first-team appearances, one in which he scored to become the club’s youngest ever goalscorer, it seems 16-year-old Jack Aitchison has a huge future ahead of him.

Though the likes of Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths currently contest the central striking berths at Parkhead, the young Scot could be a decent replacement should any of those two leave.

Anthony Ralston

In Kieran Tierney, the Hoops boast a wonderfully talented Scot in an area (left-back) that has proved very hard to find top quality options in over the years. However, it seems the buck doesn’t stop there in terms of producing full-backs.

Anthony Ralston has made a single appearance in the first-team so far in his career, though the 18-year-old right-back surely has a huge future ahead of him. Like Tierney, he can push forward with aplomb and, while his defensive work needs some improving, looks a real talent.
