James Forrest has been having the season of life so far this year. The electric winger has shown time and time again just why he’s one of the first names on Brendan Rodgers’ team sheet and after he shone for Scotland against Albania last night, the fans are delighted with the 27-year-old.
James Forrest wow. Lads doing well tonight
— Scott Brown (@ScottBrown8) 17 November 2018
Whilst Forrest was busy giving the Albanian’s headaches left, right and centre, his Celtic teammate Scott Brown was watching on and couldn’t help but take to Twitter to rave over his Parkhead teammate. The dynamic winger has shown this season that he can add serious end product to his game, and with nine goals and 12 assists to his name in just 24 games, you can see why he’s an early shout for player of the season.
The Celtic born and bred man has been at the club his entire career, although he’s never managed more than seven goals in a single Scottish Premier League season. This season, though, he’s got six in 11 and looks set to smash his own goalscoring tallies, with his quadruple against St Johnstone really helping him on his way to becoming a regular goalscorer this season.
You can read The Bhoys’ thoughts on Forrest here:
The lad has been sensational….. When he's in a positive mood to constantly engage the full back,he becomes virtually unplayable…Mr Rodgers thank you from drumming this home….and well done James Forrest…what a player!

He’s been doing well for a while now. Ive always been a fan. Glad he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves from celtic fans & his country

I use to think he was a headless chicken, no end product, dreaded his name on the team sheet as well as McGregor, but I’m only delighted to say I’m eaten humble pie. Fair play to both long may it continue in the green&white hoops

The Hoops will be keen to see Forrest keep scoring goals the way he is as they aim to make it eight in a row this season.
