Celtic fans have been crying out for some new additions this transfer window, and after getting the early deal done to bring Oliver Burle in, it looks like they’re heading in the right direction. However, as they wait for the announcement of either Timothy Weah or Vakoun Issouf Bayo, their club posted a Nir Bitton update, infuriating the fans.
“If we get a good week of sessions now, we’ll be back to what we know, and that’s to win games and to win trophies.” #CelticFChttps://t.co/lvscvD3CWj

When waiting for new signings, the last thing the Celtic fans wanted to see was an update on the Celtic website from a player like Nir Bitton and claims that he will be ‘like a new signing’ having been out injured for almost a whole year. No, if anything that just riles the fans up and makes them more frustrated with the fact that they’re yet to bring in these players.
Whilst no one at Parkhead has anything against Bitton, he’s just not what they need right now. When Moussa Dembele left the club on deadline day in the summer, Brendan Rodgers’ side looked like they may struggle for goals, and now they’re trying to get someone in to bag a few in January. Nir Bitton certainly won’t be that man, and the fans will be hoping that their next club post can be more related to a new signing.

The Hoops hate the idea of not signing any sort of striker this window and would feel a lot easier about their situation if they could secure the signing of either Weah or Bayo in the next few days.
