Celtic fans would be thrilled if Rodgers could snap up 1 of these 3 players before Tuesday…

Celtic cruised to a 3-0 fourth-round Scottish Cup win over Albion Rovers on Sunday and their supporters here in the Tavern were delighted to get yet another result in the bag!

Their dominance in the Scottish League has been extremely noticeable and with the title all-but in the bag already, there’s real optimism there can be a clean sweep in the cup competitions too.

European football is off the list after a disappointing exit from the Champions League earlier this campaign and it’s clear that Bhoys fans here in the pub want to see more emphasis on this next season.

Celtic’s season is often defined by their Champions League success and if they want to get further in the competition in the future, it’s clear that some big players need to come in.

So with that in mind, here’s 3 players that would surely make Celtic fans thrilled if Rodgers can bring them in this week…

Robert Snodgrass

Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass has been linked with a move away from the Premier League strugglers all season and there’s no reason why Celtic shouldn’t throw their name in the hat and try and bring him to Parkhead.

He’s a great goalscorer from the wing and has an excellent ability from set-pieces, just the sort of thing that might have made a difference in the Champions League at times this season.

There’s plenty of competition for his signature but he’s certainly a player that would make a difference in this Bhoys side.

Branislav Ivanovic

He’s a forgotten man at Stamford Bridge these days and there’s little doubting that Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic could certainly beef up this Celtic defence moving forward.

The Serbian international might not have had much game time recently but we’ve seen him give some seriously commanding performances at the highest level in English football and he’d bring vast amounts of experience and power to the Celtic back-line.

Henry Onyekuru

He’s the young Nigerian striker that’s been setting the Belgian league on fire this season and there’s every hope here in the pub that a deal can be made to sign Henry Onyekuru this winter.

The Hoops have been linked with a bid to bring him to Parkhead and he’s certainly the sort of player that could have the same sort of potential as Moussa Dembele going forward.

Celtic need to put their hands in their pockets and bring him to the club. He could be a real star.
