The 28-year-old has been cast aside for the arrival of Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Crystal Palace and with his contract up this summer, it seems that Kelly has no future at Selhurst Park now the youngster has made the headlines.
Mikael Lustig isn’t the most reliable right-back and now at the age of 31, it will be hard for him to get any better. Martin Kelly is just as experienced and slightly younger, meaning Brendan Rodgers can again entrust the Englishman to deliver.
