Celtic, by their high standards, have not had the greatest of starts to the new season.
The club currently finds itself second in the SPL table on 10 points, five behind Hearts in first, while they failed to make it to the Champions League group stages having been knocked out by AEK Athens in the third qualifying round of the competition.
Nevertheless, regardless of how the campaign finishes, Celtic supporters will continue to sing manager Brendan Rodgers’ praises after watching their club achieve so much with him at the helm.
Rodgers’ success, however, has not overshadowed or made the Celtic faithful forget about Ronny Deila and his exploits when he was in the Celtic Park dugout.
Deila, who turned 42 today, won two SPL titles and a Scottish League cup during his time in Glasgow, and arguably laid the foundations for the club’s later success under Rodgers.
Have a look at what Celtic fans are saying on Deila here…
