Charlie Adam may be more well-known now for his spells in English football, but he started out for Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
The 34-year-old made 86 appearances in all competitions for the Ibrox outfit, including 52 in the league itself. Despite being a central midfielder, he still managed to pick up 18 goals, which is not a bad return at all. However, he left for just £500,000 in 2009 to join Blackpool, with him then turning out for Liverpool and Stoke City, before moving to his current club Reading.

He had some good moments with the Gers, with one of the best coming against Celtic in 2007. Adam scored a clever free-kick under the wall to fool Artur Boruc as the 54-time Scottish champions won 2-0.

Charlie didn’t get the praise he deserved for his goals. That 1 and the 1 from his own half spring to mind
