Supporters of Chelsea and Manchester City in the Transfer Tavern have had to be separated this afternoon, after clashing following reports that they will battle in the transfer market.
The Daily Express says both Premier League sides are ready to pounce on Paul Pogba, after his agent Mino Raiola hinted the French international’s signature could be available for a whopping £72m.
That price-tag hasn’t put off potential suitors though, as Chelsea and City have been joined in the market by Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain; which could lead to an exciting bidding war.
Manchester United fans are keeping well out of it, aware that Pogba is the one that got away after he joined Juventus due to a lack of playing time at Old Trafford- which is regarded as the biggest error of Sir Alex Ferguson’s career.
Pogba, now 22, is widely regarded as Europe’s most exciting young prospect and is tipped for big things when he leaves Juventus- which could be imminently.
