There are intriguing reports coming from the Daily Star who suggest that Arsenal and Chelsea have been given a boost in one of their transfer pursuit.

The paper reports that FC Porto star Jackson Martinez has revealed that he wants to play in the Premier League offering hope to both clubs regarding a possible future transfer.

Martinez is regarded very highly in the tavern, having netted 12 times in his 14 games for the Portuguese club this season.

He has now admitted that he supported both Arsenal and Chelsea during his childhood and admitted he dreams of  a potential move to the Premier League.

“Where would I like to play?” the Colombian international said.

“When I was a child I rooted for Chelsea and Arsenal.

“I think the best championships are La Liga, the Premier League and Bundesliga, which has grown much in recent years.

“But I also really like Serie A and have many friends in Italy.”

The 27-year-old is contracted at the Estadio do Dragao until 2016 but Porto are yet to table an extension.

Despite having a huge £34 million buy out clause, Martinez admitted he was humbled by his progress.

“My £34million buy-out clause seems a huge amount,” he added.

“In one year my value has exploded. I did not expect to do so well.”
