Chelsea have struggled defensively this season, with the likes of David Luiz and even Cesar Azpilicueta not enjoying the best of times as of late. Chelsea have been winning, of course, but they’ve been very lucky not to concede more goals – given just how error-prone the defence has been so far this term.
Moving forward, then, that’s likely to be an area that the Blues look to improve, but perhaps they won’t have to spend big to do that.
In fact, perhaps Chelsea could have their ideal defensive solution within the club already, with on-loan defender Fikayo Tomori impressing over at Derby. The Englishman turned out for the Rams on Tuesday night and played a starring role as they defeated Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd at Old Trafford.
It was a brilliant performance from all concerned at Derby, but Tomori, in particular, looked good.
Unsurprisingly, many Chelsea fans caught wind of the performance, and it’s fair to say that they are feeling very good about Tomori. In fact, many are saying that he was just as good as Mason Mount.

Can we just take into account how incredible Fikayo Tomori was as well?
For someone who struggled at Hull last season, he sure did give Lukaku a run for his money. Absolutely class from the lad.
