Antonio Rudiger has thoroughly impressed this season under new boss Maurizio Sarri. Being as accomplished in possession as he is, Sarri’s style fits Rudiger to a tee, and the fact is a solid defender just betters the situation for all parties. The German international has featured in every game in the Premier League during Sarri’s tenure, completing all but one of the games, helping to gain five clean sheets in the process. He has recently done an interview for Chelsea’s app and in the preview, his teammates provided their feelings about him alongside thoughts from Rudiger himself on music. The interview provided a chance for Chelsea fans to discuss their 25-year-old defender.
Indeed, while he may have flattered to deceive at times under Antonio Conte, the towering German central defender certainly looks to have been revitalised under his new coach, reaching new levels when paired alongside another star who has found a new lease of life under him – David Luiz.
