Metro have Chelsea fans looking up and thinking about a forgotten man today in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim Marco van Ginkel is willing to leave the club.
The midfielder is looking to break into the first team after serious injury last season and we think that with the quality and talent Jose Mourinho currently has in the middle of the park, looking at a potential move to aid his development may not be such a bad idea.
The Dutchman’s agent spoke about his client’s future and made it very clear Van Ginkel is willing to consider a future away from Stamford Bridge.
He claimed: “We are in talks with Chelsea. Of course Marco wants to fight for his chance, but there must be some perspective.
“We are waiting for a response from Chelsea as to how they see things.”
